Friendly owners, John and Linda welcome you to Whitby and will be happy to guide you to the best attractions.Guests are welcome to leave their cars behind to go and discover the local area on foot and enjoy all that Whitby has to offer. From museums to quaint little shops, there is something for everybody. There are a vast range of cafes, bars and restaurants and not forgetting the famous Abbey ruins with its 199 steps. Visitors can also enjoy the glorious sandy beach which stretches all the way down to Sandsend (approximately 3 miles when the tide is out!) a lovely walk!
If you enjoy walking or cycling we are conveniently situated right next to the Cinder path leading to Robin Hoods Bay. Shorter strolls are also nearby to Ruswarp along the river. There is fantastic scenery for you to enjoy. If you fancy going further afield, the stunning and exhilarating North York Moors are only a short journey away. You can jump on the North York Moors Railway steam train departing from Whitby station and travel through quaint moorland villages. A truly special and memorable way in which to enjoy the beautiful countryside.
