The Coal Merchant’s House B&B

The house is located in a semi rural residential area one mile from Whitby on a bus route and a half a mile from Ruswarp. In Ruswarp you will find the River Esk with recreational facilities including the Esk Valley footpath running alongside the river and harbour into town. There is a village pub serving bar meals, cafes and rowing boats for hire. You can also hop on the Esk Valley Railway which passes through the magnificent landscape and lovely villages in the North North Moors National Park. Moor View is our largest room with a king size bed and quality furniture, it has an ensuite shower room. Streonshalh is a light and airy twin with shower over bath. Mayfield is a modern room with comfy double bed and ensuite shower. All rooms have flat screen TVs and well stocked hospitality trays with real coffee and Botham's biscuits. Unlimited fresh milk, bottled water and fresh fruit are available. Breakfast choices include Full English, Vegetarian or Vegan and special diets can be catered for. We provide Fairtrade toiletries.
